Are you aware of a significant style difference between a "forest" and a "grove"? I have been unsuccessful in researching a definitive response, but have heard the following as possible answers:
- forests contain some level of underplanting and trees of varied size
- groves are free of undergrowth and contain trees of approximately the same size
- forests peak at the tallest tree and fall asymetrically from that point
- all trees in grove are roughly the same height with a shared crown
- the largest tree in a forest is placed in the front while the largest tree in a grove is placed in the back
- the outer ring of trees, in a forest, slope away from the center
- all trees in a grove are placed in a straight, vertical position
There is obviously some conflicting information in the above comments. I would be curious if you have heard a definitive answer to the original question.
